Demonstrate comprehension and reflective reading skills, as well as the ability to annotate a text through a variety of methods.

Compose using multiple strategies of invention, drafting, and revision in the demonstration of writing as a recursive process and with an eye towards the rhetorical effectiveness of their own work and the work of others.

Identify key rhetorical concepts, e.g., purpose, audience, context, medium or genre, author, and content, etc., through analyzing and composing a variety of texts.

Analyze a diverse range of texts, attending especially to relationships between assertion and evidence, patterns of organization, and how these features function rhetorically in a given text including their own.
